Now its the Shallow SWD’s That are Causing “Widespread" Contamination Problems in Permian

Over the past five years, the Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) has put increasing restrictions on deep well wastewater injection due to earthquake incidences, so oil/gas producers began injecting more into shallow formations.  However, the RRC now concedes that this latter practice is causing “widespread” increases in underground pressure, “breaching wells and causing the ground to swell and rupture, threatening to contaminate drinking water supplies…” EcoVAP stands ready to reduce these wastewater volumes by >90% via its low-cost, biomimicry-based natural evaporation technology.
