Launch your EcoVAP validation phase
A validation phase is a compact, standalone Ecovap system installed at your site to prove out evaporation performance on your own water before you invest in a full build. It runs the same Evaporative Matrix™ technology as our full-scale systems, just sized down. Validate results on your site, then expand only when you’re ready. Customers running a validation phase have seen evaporation up to 59x faster than standard ponds and <95% savings on handling costs, without a seven-figure upfront investment.

Fast implementation, fast impacts
Ecovap can mobilize as fast as you can. It doesn’t require complex permits or extra government approval. All you need to do is source power and complete the groundwork. We’ll ship and install the matrix, pumps and control system. A validation phase often starts with a compact 26ft x 29ft x 22ft (LWH) matrix before expanding to your needs over time.

Set your goals
It all starts with a conversation. We’ll discuss your water TDS and pH, site features, evaporation goals, project timelines and budget — then tailor your matrix size and configuration to fit your site. This way, you get a clear picture of what’s possible and how Ecovap starts achieving your goals from day one.
Install and evaporate
While you prepare your site, we’ll manufacture your matrix panels. Once installed, you’ll see results immediately. And when you’re ready to move into full implementation, you just order more modules to bring the matrix into a full-scale, long-term solution that satisfies your operational needs.

9 million gallons, gone
After just four months with Ecovap, this metal mine evaporated over nine million gallons of water. The matrix was so effective that they were able to restore their water balance and expand operations. With Ecovap, they evaporated more in sixteen weeks than an eleven-acre pond could over the same period.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
In most cases, no. Because validation phase matrixes are installed on or alongside your existing ponds rather than replacing your disposal method, it typically operates within your current permit structure.
That said, requirements vary by state and by industry — enhanced evaporation approval processes differ significantly from one regulator to the next
It starts with a site walkthrough (about an hour), followed by a technical evaluation of your water quality, flow, power and space constraints. From there, Ecovap designs a custom-sized matrix, manufactures the panels off-site and installs the system for you. You’ll get a site-specific SOP and direct access to the support team from start to finish..
It’s proven. Ecovap’s “59x faster” figure was independently confirmed by a 2017 Golder Associates (now WSP) Engineer’s Certification Water Balance and Validation Test, and it’s held up across dozens of real deployments since.
That’s the point of the Validation Phase: proving performance on your water, at your location, before you scale. Ecovap has handled water chemistries ranging from pH 1.5 to 200,000 ppm TDS across mining, oil & gas and power utility sites.
Ecovap calculates your expected monthly evaporation volume from your site’s exact latitude, longitude and elevation, then tracks actual performance with flow meters and weather stations once installed. For most operators, the number that matters most is dollars per barrel (or per gallon) disposed.
