HARNESSING THE POWER OF NATURE
TO PRODUCE CLEAN WATER

the world's first power-independent clean water solution

ECOVAP MATRIX TECHNOLOGY:
harnessing THE POWER OF nature to produce clean water

EcoVAP Evaporative Matrix™ technology harnesses radiant solar energy for off-grid water evaporation and recovery.

This entirely new approach to water challenges enables operations of all sizes to dramatically reduce their carbon footprint while stewarding our planet's most critical natural resource--fresh water.

EcoVAP's biomimicry-based innovations facilitate multiple industrial and municipal applications, evaporating, purifying and capturing clean water through a simple and scalable model. Evaporative Matrix solutions mimic cloud formation by creating increased convection, rapid evaporation and high humidity within a closed system, so brackish water can be restored and fresh water freely supplied for local use, or returned to the hydrological cycle naturally. This technology eliminates energy and land-intensive approaches to water management along with the costs and environmental risks of these conventional methods.

The result is ethically and economically sound clean water solutions available anywhere around the globe.

ELIMINATING THE COSTS, RISKS, AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS OF TRADITIONAL APPROACHES

Our power independent technology restores, recovers and returns clean water to the hydrological cycle without the use of chemicals, filters, or the transport of water for disposal. Constructed with patented, interlocking HDPE panels, EcoVAP Evaporative Matrix™ structures and Water Recovery Units™ provide scalable installations to suit any location with the operational advantage of maintenance free, passively powered performance. In addition, EcoVAP Evaporative Matrix ("EM") panels can be reconfigured as water management needs change and recycled at the end of life.

OUTPERFORMING CONVENTIONAL SOLUTIONS

TO RESTORE THE WORLD'S WATER BALANCE

EcoVAP is applying new technology to the monumental challenge of water scarcity. Rather than making incremental improvements to old technology, we pursued an entirely new approach—a radical combination of engineering, hydrological science, and observation of the natural world—to develop a technology that delivers exponential improvements on ethical and operational measures.

Our team is committed to making environmental water management solutions viable for organizations of all sizes, democratizing access to fresh water around the globe. With proven results in multiple sectors and strong partnerships, EcoVAP is poised to forever alter the way we steward our world’s most critical resource.

ELIMINATING THE COSTS, RISKS, AND EnVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS

OF TRADITIONAL APPROACHES

Our power independent technology restores, recovers and returns clean water to the hydrological cycle without the use of chemicals, filters, or the transport of water for disposal. Constructed with patented, interlocking HDPE panels, EcoVAP Evaporative Matrix structures and Water Recovery Units™ create the physical conditions to desalinate water through evaporation. These scalable installations can be built to suit any location with the operational advantage of 50-year life, maintenance free, passively powered performance. In addition, EcoVAP EM panels can be reconfigured as water management needs change and recycled at the end of life.

INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS

EXTENDING OUR TECHNOLOGIES WITH STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIPS

Industry leaders in multiple sectors have recognized the potential of our technologies, validating our solution with strategic partnerships. Tallgrass Energy and Sumitomo Corporation have engaged in large-scale commercial contracts with EcoVAP to provide water handling for the industrial sectors.

Golder Associates 2017 Engineer’s Certification Water Balance and Validation Test

VALIDATED AND CERTIFIED

TO GUARANTEE THE HIGHEST STANDARDS

In 2017, EcoVAP challenged one of the most respected engineering firms in the world, Golder Associates, to evaluate our technology’s performance under their most rigorous testing standards. Golder subjected an EcoVAP oil-field wastewater collection site near Myton, Utah to months of scrutiny and meticulous evaluation using a suite of sensors and 24 hour video surveillance. The results at the end of the testing period were astounding. Golder showed that the EcoVAP solution evaporated wastewater 5900% faster than the conventional control solution.

In this 2017 assessment, Golder tested EcoVAP’s Generation 1 evaporation technology, which has undergone significant redesign and optimization. Based upon EcoVAP’s internal testing since that time, we are confident that during Golder’s next certification our Generation 3 solution will be shown to be almost twice as effective as Generation 1 at evaporating wastewater.

EXPLORE OUR TECHNOLOGY

EcoVAP commissioned the respected Natural Resources and Environmental Management Department at Ball State University to conduct a formal Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of our Evaporative Matrix solution. After careful review, the department found that the EcoVAP solution proved to be “an environmentally sound technology for accelerated removal of oil and gas wastewater across a significantly reduced land area. The study further concluded that EcoVAP’s proprietary approach completely eliminated or dramatically reduced many of the adverse environmental impacts and risks posed by the most common disposal methods."
